Nominations for the SJVs 2023

I spent most of 2022 working on novels, either editing the final draft of In Search of Solomon or writing the first draft of The Book of Merlin. Short stories fell somewhat by the wayside. I was therefore surprised to get to the end of the year and realise that I had seven publication credits for the year:

Born from the Drowning Forest and The Meeting of Two Riders also made it onto the 2022 Recommended Reading List at Tangent Online.

And now we come to that time of the year again where the Sir Julius Vogel Awards for New Zealand’s Science Fiction & Fantasy are taking nominations. The SJV Awards are for work published in 2022 and I would be thrilled if any of you think that the above stories are worth nominating. I personally believe that Born from the Drowning Forest and the two Aurealis stories are my best from 2022, but please only nominate what you think is worthy (if any!). Also, Interview with the Sole Refugee of the A303 Incident is illegible, having been originally published in 2021.

You can nominate here.

You have till the end of March to nominate.
